Using the alerts widget

Introduction

Inform the organisation instantly of important situations with the alerts widget. It's the first thing a user sees on home when they log into the digital workspace. Clicking on the item reveals the content. And one can follow the 'read more' link, if more action is needed. 

Alerts can be very helpful to share a survey with the community. To inform them about a special treat at coffee or after-work drinks. Or to alert a colleague that they forgot to turn off their lights. As home refreshes every 5 minutes, it quickly reaches everyone. And easy so, as you will see in the next steps. 

Write an alert

Find the 'Add Alert' tile in the apphub and click it: 

This will open an iframe with a text editor. Write the title and body of the alert, and feel free to add an image or two:

Save the article:

And it is visible to colleagues instantly visible to all:
